In the Magical world of Harry Potter, there are many curses, spells and potions which affect the Magical community in various ways. Some are gruesome. When Hermione Granger drank the Polyjuice Potion with Cat hairs, she got the attributes of a Cat, so that her face became covered with cat hair and with whiskers.
For example, when Hermione brewed Polyjuice in her second year, she intended to take the form of Millicent Bulstrode, but she mistook her cat's hair for Millicent's. The resulting potion caused Hermione to partially transform into a cat, complete with ears and a tail.
Soon they are back in the bathroom with Hermione. Hermione already has her hair, it turns out, because the day she was paired to duel with Millicent, one of the hairs of the large Slytherin girl wound up on Hermione's robes. Hermione refuses to come out of her stall, so Harry and Ron set off alone.

Harry and Ron changed into Crabbe and Goyle, but unfortunately the hair that Hermione had taken from Millicent Bulstrode's robes actually belonged to her cat. Given Polyjuice Potion isn't supposed to be used for animal transformations, Hermione had a rather furry surprise…
It's mentioned on page 419 of the book Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, that Hermione picked up Bellatrix's single, long, coarse, black hair from her own sweater which she had been wearing at Malfoy Manor.
She was terrified, a Muggle-born in a hostile situation. She couldn't trust anyone, who knows what their feelings might be. She approached Ron and he snapped at her. Thus, she cried.
Dean is the son of a wizard father and a Muggle mother, though he believed he was Muggle-born when he went to Hogwarts. Dean's mother later remarried a Muggle, who raised Dean as his own son.

I heard that it tasted like pure corn syrup, but it has a decent ginger flavor, with the tiniest bit of lemon. Very sweet, of course, but more honey-sweet than sugar-sweet.
Bellatrix Lestrange's second wand was possibly bought in 1998, but it is more likely Bellatrix stole it or made it. It may have been made by Ollivander as a prisoner. He was forced to make one for Peter Pettigrew, so the Death Eaters most likely had a supply of backup wands.
They actually added a bit, with Bellatrix using her knife to carve the word “Mudblood” into Hermione's forearm. … The movie probably is worthy of an R-rating, really.
The truth was, she was just crying in the bathroom, and didn't know about the troll, but when Hermione said this lie in the film it was like she said it to cover for the boys, but she didn't really need to the truth actually sounds better and wouldn't of gotten anyone in trouble.

Beasts considered dangerous by the Committee for the Disposal of Dangerous Creatures are executed by beheading. In the past Wizards were executed by Muggles by burning. However most of these people were in fact Muggles. Real wizards in Europe would escape by use of the Flame-Freezing Charm.

From the Latin amor (love) tentamen (attempt or effort), Amortentia is a powerful love enchantment. The spell doesn't actually create love, but causes the target to be strongly attracted to a particular witch or wizard. Both muggles and wizards can fall under the spell of AMORTENTIA!

Acrylic dries into an insoluble, water-resistant flexible paint film. This means that, unlike watercolor paint, which is water-soluble even when dry, you can paint on top of previous layers of acrylic paint without fear of lifting the color beneath.
