Cyanoacrylate based super glues are perfectly safe once cured/dry. Cyanoacrylate is usually found in gel type super glue.
Trust me, I work with hot glue on a regular basis, and it doesn't take a whole awful lot to make the stuff get gooey and meltey, and that would be REALLY bad if the heat spiked somehow, melted the glue and the snake got under the mat somehow into the melted glue. Good luck!
It is safe for use with frogs.
The superglue won't hurt the frogs. But you can remove them while the glue sets up, about 15 minutes or so.
GE SCS 1200 silicone is one of the structural silicone used to make aquariums. Once fully cured it is animal safe. Hot glue would be the cheap and easy way to go, or there is aquarium silicone you can buy that would do the trick.
It is safe as long as it's dry.
Best advice would be to wait about 3-4 weeks, get some springtails now and seed the viv long before you put in the frogs, and wait a bit to jump in.
Hot glue works fine, but sometimes it doesn't hold a lot of weight like you may want it to.
Chameleon Enthusiast. Any 100% silicone is safe. Its the acrylic or semi acrylic that is iffy. Or the $$$ electrical grade stuff %100 silicone that out gasses alcohol instead of smelling like vinegar.
This foam was designed to be used in home repairs to seal cracks. Reptile keepers have discovered that it works great to create vivarium landscapes. The foam can be used to hide connection points for branches and plants which is what is being done here. Caution When Using Expandable Foam!
I have used the Great Stuff or expanding foam. It is safe as long as it's dry.
Superglue, icing sugar, nail polish and flour can all be used to help seal cuts and tears. Tarantulas dont really have blood as we know it, instead their blood is a copper based solution called haemolymph.
Registered. Yes, the standard Gorilla Glue works great in a viv. You just need to let it cure a little longer before putting animals in the enclosure since it gives off fumes longer than, say, silicon.
