Most levelling compounds can only be applied up to 30-40mm and will need to be used in more than one application or with other materials required. However there are some exceptions on the market such as BAL Level Max which can be applied from 2 mm up to 80 mm in one application.

Can I pour multiple layers of self-leveling concrete? Once the first layer is dry, you can pour a second layer. You will need a primer laid down first, and it is possible to need a moisture barrier.
Concrete typically needs to be a few inches thick but self leveler can be as thin as 1/16 inch. Crack resistant even when poured in thin layers.
Wood floors need to be primed before covering them with self leveler. The floor will be covered with water-saturated leveler, which will cause the wood to swell. It will shrink back down when it dries, which could cause cracks in the underlayment and tiles above. The primer prevents the wood from absorbing water.
When Self-Leveling Concrete Should Not Be Used There are some indoor/outdoor applications that may make sense (a covered-but-exposed garage floor, for example), but most 100% outdoor applications won't be a fit for self-leveling concrete. Also, any vertical surface won't be a candidate for self-leveling concrete.
Self-leveling concrete is a cementitious mixture much like concrete. But unlike concrete, it flows easier and sets up much faster. The product is mixed with water, pumped or poured into place and spread evenly with a gauge rake. Once it's spread out, it continues to flow evenly and levels itself out.
No to the PVA, but wet the floor first before using the self leveling compound, be warned it's not self leveling you have to trowel it level.
